Rent and payments

Why EasyHaus never collects rent

Rent, deposits and payments are recorded in EasyHaus, never processed. Tenants pay you directly, and your money stays in your bank account.

Records, not money

EasyHaus is the record of what is owed and what was paid. It never takes payments from tenants, never holds deposits and never pays anything out. Tenants pay into your bank account, by the method you agreed, and your team records each payment.

Why

  • Your money stays with you. There is no platform account between your tenants and you, no payout delay and no processing fee on rent.
  • Fewer rules for you. Handling other people's money brings licensing and client-money rules. Because EasyHaus does not touch the money, adding it does not change your position.
  • One principle across EasyHaus. The same applies to investor money in the fractional ownership module.

What this means day to day

  • Give tenants your bank details and the lease's payment reference in the contract.
  • Record each payment when it shows in your bank account. See Record a rent payment.
  • Keep deposit accounts at your bank, where the law asks for one. See Deposits.

Note: Stripe is used only to bill you for your EasyHaus subscription. Tenants, units, properties and vendors are never billed. See Pricing and seats.
