Add a one-off charge

Charge a tenant for something other than the monthly rent: a deposit, a late fee, a utility bill, a repair or an operating-cost balance.

  2. Choose the category.
  3. Enter the amount and the date it is due.
  4. Optionally choose the period it belongs to and write a description the tenant would recognise.
  5. Save.

Good to know

  • Charges you add by hand are never replaced by the monthly generation.
  • Amounts must be greater than zero. To take a charge back, void it. See Void a charge or payment.
  • A one-off charge counts in the balance and in arrears from its due date.

Tip: Use a charge with the category utility or other for the balance of a year-end operating-cost statement (Nebenkostenabrechnung), with the year in the description.
