Updates and the work order timeline

Every status change and every note on a work order is kept on its timeline, with who wrote it and when, so anyone can pick the job up.

  • Updated
  • For managers

Who can do this: Owners, admins and managers add updates; everyone reads them

Add an update

  1. Open the work order.
  2. Write the update in the timeline, for example Plumber booked for Thursday 8:00, tenant informed.
  3. Save.

Change the status with a note

When you change the status, you can add a note that explains why, such as On hold until the owner approves the quote. The timeline shows the old and the new status with the note.

What the timeline shows

  • Notes and status changes, newest first.
  • Who made each change and when.
  • The expense recorded when the work order was completed, if any.

Note: Timeline entries are internal to your team. Tenants and owners do not see them.
