Team and organization settings

Roles and what each can do

Owner, admin, manager and viewer: who can change what, who sees billing and the audit log, and who approves distributions.

  • Updated
  • For managers

The four roles

  • Owner: one per organization. Everything, including billing, ownership transfer and deleting the organization.
  • Admin: manages members, settings and billing. Admins can do everything the owner can, except delete the organization, transfer ownership and erase a client's personal data.
  • Manager: the working role. Properties, clients, documents, markets, orders and distributions, but not team or settings.
  • Viewer: reads everything and runs reports, but cannot change anything.

Buttons you cannot use are hidden or disabled for your role. If you need something you cannot do, ask an owner or admin.

Note: Only owners and admins can see the billing page. Only the owner can delete the organization, hand over ownership or erase a client's personal data.

Choosing roles

Give people the smallest role that lets them do their job. Most colleagues who work with investors every day need manager. Use viewer for assistants, auditors and anyone who only reads reports. Keep admin for the one or two people who run the team.

Every member, whatever the role, uses one manager seat. See Pricing and seats.
